Client: Owner @ Wildflower Salon
About the Project: Wildflower Salon marked the owner's entrepreneurial start as she embarked on opening her own hair salon. The project encompassed the creation of a compelling brand identity, along with a suite of supporting materials. These materials ranged from printed collateral to swag items and social media content, aimed at facilitating the salon's grand opening.
The Challenge: The primary challenge was in crafting an organic logo that seamlessly integrated wildflower illustrations. The task was to strike a delicate balance, ensuring that the logo's intricacies would translate effectively when printed on recycled craft paper, preserving both its authenticity and sustainability. The owner's personality was playful but elegant and we wanted her personality to be reflected in her branding.
My Role: Creative Direction, Lead Designer, Vendor Management and Print Production Coordinator
Solution & Design Process: My initial meeting with the client was a collaborative exploration, where we delved into her expectations, needs, goals, and the essential elements of the branding she envisioned. By aligning our objectives and aspirations, we crafted a blueprint for the brand's visual identity.
Fun Fact: This project was for my current hair stylist and we agreed to barter services. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement that underscored the value of creative collaboration and personal connections!
